For many parents, the thought of travelling overseas with a toddler feels impossible, but Chantelle Stanton proved that with the right mindset and the right tools, it can be not just doable, but deeply rewarding. Between a couple of European weddings and family travel, she navigated airports, city streets, and event-filled days with ease, thanks in no small part to the portier Limitless Carrier. From hands-free moments in transit to exploring cobblestone laneways, it became an essential part of making the journey feel seamless.

With a couple of weddings and some family travel in Europe, what made you decide to say yes and take your toddler along for the adventure?

We had planned the trip while I was pregnant and having him come was always the plan! While he wasn’t yet walking, a fun age to travel, not paying for his flights as he is still under 2, was all ideal but also the memories and experience travelling as a family was one I’ll never forget! With one of the weddings being my sisters, having my family there to help as well was a game changer! Harry loved Euro that’s for sure!

How did the Limitless Carrier become an essential part of your European trip?

The Limitless carrier was an essential part of our travel days and an extra set of hands! With all our luggage, having the carrier allowed us to have all hands on deck around the airports, on the plane, train stations and city streets. I hadn’t used the carrier much recently before travelling to Europe as he is now so big, but it’s my best toddler item I took with us! Honestly a game changer and he didn’t feel too heavy at all.

What are your top five travel essentials, the ride-or-die products you wouldn’t leave home without?

The Limitless Carrier and the On-The-Go bag were our top picks!! Along with a great travel pram, we took our bugaboo butterfly which he slept so well in, lots of activities and books for the plane as well as a snack box - a must for a toddler! Taking his portable white noise machine for naps on the go was super helpful too, as well as a travel fan which we had on the pram - the euro heat is hot!! Packing a favourite toy or comforter can make a strange environment feel safe.

What did a typical day on your trip look like? Did you go with the flow or stick to routines like naps, and how did you balance it all?

Our day to day was always a little similar, between exploring the towns, days by the beach or pool, lots of yummy food and walking the streets with an ice cream or lemon granita in hand! Harry was a champ and would sleep in the travel pram when we were out, and we took his portacot for night time to keep some consistency and routine. Routine wise we are normally pretty strict as we know what works with him at home, but travelling on the go makes it all a little more relaxed and go with the flow. He would have a little morning nap and a longer lunch nap in the pram which also meant he could stay up later, but also we could still be out exploring and not having to come back to the hotel for all his naps was very helpful! When having dinners out and if he fell asleep in the pram on the walks home he was easy to transfer to bed. I think with the euro heat and busy days exploring he slept very well which was a win!

What tips would you share to inspire and empower parents who feel hesitant about travelling overseas with young children?

It’s all the unknown until you do it. Not everything will work out as expected and if you can have a very go with the flow energy and not put too much expectation on it, it helps! But it was SO incredible getting to experience such beautiful memories that will last a lifetime and watch Harry grow and learn so much while we were there too. Being prepared prior to the trip having options helped me to feel less anxious for sure!
