How to wear your carrier

Our portier carrier was made for busy parents, by busy parents. This is why our carrier has three different ways to carry – so you can feel your best, even on the go with baby.

INWARD FACING

The inward facing position has the baby sitting on your front, facing towards your body. Thigh support should always be buttoned onto the top most outer panel button when carrying a baby facing in. Please ensure the carrier is set up to the appropriate width for your child’s size – we have more information on this here.

OUTWARD FACING

This position has a baby sitting on your front, facing outwards. Fasten the buttonholes on the outside thigh support to the lower set of buttons on the front of the carrier panel, to widen the leg opening. The waistband should always be set to the widest setting for this position. The neck support pillow should always be fastened into place on the outside of the carrier in the facing out position. BACK CARRY

Back carry involves carrying your baby facing inwards or outwards, on your back. Only use the back carry position when your baby has strong head and neck control, and is able to sit unaided. The back carry can be used in the middle or widest seat setting only. Thigh support should always be buttoned onto the top most outer button when wearing your baby on your back. Watch video here.

In all positions, the baby should always be sitting in the “M” position, with their knees higher than their bottom and fabric supporting the thighs. For more detailed information on each position, please refer to our instruction manual and detailed video instructions
