MOTHER'S DAY MUSE: Christina Sikalias
This Mother's Day, we're honouring the women who show up in their own way, and reminding you that you deserve a moment of freedom, too.
At the heart of our Freedom, Reclaimed campaign is Christina Sikalias: a creative force, founder of CS Beauty, devoted new mum, and our Mother’s Day muse. Christina represents what so many modern women aspire to embody - ambition, vulnerability, resilience, and maintaining a sense of self after entering into the season of motherhood.
When we asked Christina what freedom looks like to her right now, her answer was refreshingly honest:
“Freedom these days? Honestly, it’s having a long shower without hearing baby cries in the background, drinking a coffee while it’s still hot (not after microwaving it three times), and on a rare magical day – getting an uninterrupted nap.”

These quiet achievements and the hidden efforts is what makes Christina so relatable yet aspirational, and the perfect muse for this moment. She reminds us that freedom doesn’t always mean grand gestures. Sometimes, it’s simply space to exhale, and a reminder that the small wins count too.
For Christina, freedom is found in small acts of reclamation - a solo drive with music up loud, a walk in the sun, or the luxury of an unhurried massage.
“It’s like my little escape,” she says. “When things get too overwhelming, I love treating myself to a massage – it’s the perfect way to recharge.”
We also spoke about the evolution of identity, how motherhood changes, stretches, and reshapes you. Christina’s words reflect the tension so many mothers know well:
“I’ve realised that I can be an ambitious entrepreneur and a loving mum without giving up one for the other. Motherhood has deepened my sense of purpose, but also reminded me to never lose sight of the things that make me, me.”
We, at portier believe motherhood is not the end of identity, but an expansion of it, and Christina embodies that perfectly.
This Sunday, we’re taking a moment to honour the women that show up for everyone, even imperfectly, and who are learning to show up for themselves too. The ones finding freedom in the margins, in the small moments, and in the messy in-between.
Happy Mother’s Day.
Love, Team portier xx
